Skidmore College has evolved a great deal in terms of its attitude towards its LGBT students over it's 100 year life-span.  There are more resources on campus now, that ever before, which included a weekly coming out support group, a once per semester ally training for students, faculty and staff, a large section of LGBT literature in the library, the Gender and Orientation Safe Living Floor, and a very active LGBT student organization.  All alumni are invited to submit personal storied or news clippings in order to assist in the creation of a LGBT historical archive.
